Here are 5 ways to increase mindfulness in your busy mom life.

Meditate

Meditation is an ancient practice that helps us connect with our inner self.

It doesn’t have to be complicated. You don’t need to spend hours on end doing it either. Start with just five minutes.

Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Let go of everything else. When your mind wanders, let it go. Don’t get upset if it happens. Just come back to focusing on your breath.

Over time, you’ll notice that you’re getting better at meditation.

Use Affirmations

Affirmations are powerful statements that help us feel centered and grounded.

Affirmations can be used alone or in combination with other self care, mindfulness practices.

Creating custom affirmations are incredibly powerful as they address specific issues that you may be struggling with.

To learn more, check out The Write Your Own Affirmations Workshop to learn how increase your mindfulness. It will show you how you can improve your self-confidence and most of all it will show you the magic that you are capable of making in your life.

Be Present

Day-to-day mom-life can be incredibly overwhelming.

Finding presence during the day can help you stay calm and centered.

Put your phone down and be present.

Look around you. Gaze at something and marvel at it’s beauty.

Young kids are incredible at being present. if you have young kids, take a note from them and just immerse yourself in whatever they are jiving on.

Declutter

Having a bunch of “stuff” in your space can be overwhelming.

Clearing out a room is ideal, but if you are short on time, start with a shelf.

Take everything off the shelf and start from a clean slate.

Only put things on the shelf that you love to look at.

We are WAY to attached to “things”. If you really aren’t ready to part with something, put it in the closet. But try only having beautiful, lovely items on a shelf and see how it feels.

Time for Self

Taking time for yourself is incredibly important.

Hire a babysitter. Tell your partner.

Do whatever you need to do to make sure you are getting some time for yourself on a regular basis.

Moms are constantly providing support for other people. In order to show up as our best selves, we MUST take care of ourselves, especially in order to practice mindfulness. And one way to do that is to take a break.

Stop telling yourself that being selfish is wrong.

Being selfless is wrong.

You are not meant to be a bottomless well of support for others. You deserve time for yourself as well.

Get into Nature

Nature is incredibly supporting.

Go for a walk.

Listen to the birds.

Smell the smells.

Gaze at the trees/horizon/waterfall.

Getting into nature is a GREAT way to practice mindfulness.

Affirmations for Success, Happiness, Health & Wellness, Relationships, Career, Finances, etc. https://jackierockwell.com/how-to-use-affirmations/ Thu, 09 Jun 2022 17:56:25 +0000 https://jackierockwell.com/?p=2629 What are Affirmations?

Affirmations are powerful statements that help us feel centered and grounded.

Creating custom affirmations are incredibly powerful as they address specific issues that you may be struggling with.

I’ve always had an affinity for affirmations.

I love the idea of writing down something that helps me feel more deeply connected with myself and others. I’ve been playing around with affirmations for a while. I like how they can help me feel more confident, calm, and balanced.

Affirmations are great for helping me deal with stress, anxiety, and depression. They help me get through tough times. They help me feel less stressed out. They help me focus. They help me stay grounded. They help me connect with myself. They me create a better life. They help me be more present. They help me have better boundaries. They can help me find peace. They help me heal. They help me grow. They can help me become a better person. They help me feel a deeper connection with myself and with my loved ones.

They can do all of that for you too.

You can use affirmations for love, money, happiness… literally ANYTHING!

Maybe you know exactly what you want, but maybe you don’t even know where to start. You might know that you want to make some changes in your life, but you aren’t quite sure what they are.

The thing is, affirmations can help you either way.

Let me explain…

How do they work?

Affirmations can help you create specific changes that you are ready to make.

For example, if you are wanting to change jobs you might have an affirmation like:

I love working at <my dream job>.

Or, if you know that you’re ready to make a change, but aren’t sure what you want it to be, you can create affirmations that just offer you general support, like:

I am supported

Affirmations can be used in SO MANY WAYS!!

(we can even use them with our kids)

The Benefits of Using Affirmations

You can reprogram your brain using affirmations

You do not have to continue living the status quo.

It’s time to take back the power of your mind. You can reprogram your brain to support you.

The Write Your Own Affirmations Workshop is here to help the woman who wants to improve her love for herself. It will show her how she can improve her self-confidence and most of all it will show her the magic that she is capable of making in her life.
